Breast Augmentation Can Boost Self-Confidence, Self-Esteem
It used to be that any celebrity who got a breast augmentation or any other plastic surgery work done was scrutinized for their decision.Now a days, it's almost a 'given'.
With all the beauty makeover reality shows and the compelling stories they tell of how plastic surgery can transform not only people's physical appearance, but their self-confidence and self-image as well, it's no wonder people are more open to the idea of plastic surgery. It's amazing to see the kind of impact a change on the outside of a person can have to their inside; their confidence and overall psychological well being - or simply, just being a happier person.

Breast Implants USA Supports the Iraq Star Foundation
The statistics are grim: more than 30,000 men and women have returned wounded from Iraq. They must now face the daunting challenge of recovery. The military will replace missing arms and legs with prosthetics, provide the initial surgeries to close the wounds and grafts to replace burned flesh, striving tirelessly to make our veterans functioning people. But the fact stands that terrible scarring from shrapnel, burns and wound trauma remain. Surgeries are still needed to help our veterans gain back their pre-war lives, to assist them in holding their heads high, and help them return to their homes and careers.
Iraq Star, Inc. is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing the necessary reconstructive surgeries to assist war veterans recovering from physical and mental injuries. It is the Foundation's hope that reconstructive surgery will also help our veterans heal from emotional trauma, increase self-esteem and ease their return to their pre-war lives.

Christina Applegate Named CNN LKL 'Hero'
(CNN) Christina Applegate, star of 'Samantha Who?', was interviewed on Larry King Live regarding her diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer. Larry King named Applegate a CNN LKL 'Hero', based on her courage in dealing with her diagnosis and her public advocacy for early detection through routine mammograms and self-examination.In the interview, Christina Applegate discusses her choice to undergo a double mastectomy, followed by breast augmentation breast implant surgery.
"These things happen and they become opportunities," Ms. Applegate commented. "In that moment [hearing the diagnosis] there's a great rush to make your life better."
In August of 2008, after Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer, she and her Doctors decided the best course of therapy was to undergo a double mastectomy. Applegate commented that this was the most "logical choice" for her, in light of her family history -- her mother has had breast cancer and cervical cancer -- and she tested positive for the BRCA1 gene. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor-ordered MRI, the cancer was caught before it became life threatening.

A common mistake in choosing a plastic surgeon
It is important to note that prices are different at every single breast surgeon's location. Our recommendation is to not make a decision in choosing a breast surgeon based on price. Your decision should be based solely on if that breast surgeon can meet your specific needs. However, keep your eyes open as well. It is common to find that 10 plastic surgeons are within 5% of each other's price, and there is that one plastic surgeon who charges half of everyone else's price. Be cautious, as that is usually a quick red flag. In no way does that mean paying less will give you worse results, it only means that your decision should never solely be based on price.
