Plastic Surgery Numbers Increasing

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps), released data showing that more and more people are getting plastic surgery work done. The data presented is beginning to show that the stigma of "having some work done" is quickly dissipating.

There was an increase in 12 percent for overall cosmetic surgery procedures. A 37 percent rise in face lifts, and 15 percent rise in breast augmentations. Although, 91 percent of the procedures carried out were on women, there was a 61 percent increase in the number of males getting tummy tucks and an 18 percent rise in male liposuctions. It seems more and more men are open to self improvement.

So how does it compare to the United States?

According to The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps), there were 32,453 procedures carried out last year

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) reports 11.5 million procedures, which is only a slight increase.
